ABOUT US

My obsession with lifting started at 12 years old. I was a chubby kid who walked into my local YMCA weight room just wanting to change how I felt in my own skin. That sparked a passion for training that carried me through high school sports, powerlifting, and eventually led me to found my high school's barbell club at 16. I knew early on my life's calling was to help people reach their goals through science-backed, human-focused coaching.

When COVID hit in 2020 and gyms shut down, stopping wasn’t an option. I hand-poured my own dumbbells out of concrete and built wooden squat racks so my training buddies and I could keep grinding. Driven by that same passion, I studied Exercise Physiology in college and entered Boston University's Physical Therapy graduate program. During those college years, I established a collegiate barbell club that eventually led to my coaching business and competitive powerlifting community that is still thriving today with hundreds of active lifters.

By age 21, I was coaching full-time and took a massive leap of faith to start my own business. Without the cash for a commercial lease, I started out of my college apartment bedroom, eventually moving the equipment into the kitchen and dining room to host lifting events with my roommates. As the community grew, I transitioned the operation into a rented garage in Allston to serve more people and store the commercial gear I was accumulating.

Finding our Oasis

By the time I was ready for a true commercial facility, I was stockpiling equipment in multiple storage units across Greater Boston. Then, disaster struck: my first real lease agreement fell through at the last minute. Out of pure desperation, I stumbled upon our current building and signed a lease for a tiny, 650-square-foot warehouse just to stash everything.

It was meant to be storage, but word got out. So many people from our lifting community asked to train there that I built it out into a functional micro-gym. We outgrew it almost overnight. Instead of moving, we knocked down the wall into the neighboring unit, adding 1,000 square feet. Within eight months, we outgrew that too, knocking down another wall to add an additional 1,700 square feet where we stand today.

That rapid growth forced me down a deep rabbit hole. Combining my academic background with an obsession for the perfect environment, I became hyper-focused on equipment biomechanics. I spent years researching the strength curves, angles, and pivot points of every machine. Because of that, Oasis Gym isn't outfitted by a generic, single-brand catalog. Every piece of equipment on this floor was hand-selected for a specific reason, creating a masterfully curated mix of cutting-edge technology and time-tested, old-school classics.

The Difference

Throughout this journey, I felt a deep frustration with the wider fitness industry. Large big-box gyms feel impersonal, clinical, and completely devoid of emotion. I made it my absolute goal to change that.

The ultimate perk of a private facility like ours is the culture. We aren't a cold corporate gym where you are just a barcode. Because our roots trace back to those early barbell clubs and our 200+ athlete coaching family, community is built into our very DNA. When you train here, you are surrounded by like-minded people who know your name, respect your goals, and push you to be better. It’s the tight-knit camaraderie of a private club, combined with world-class gear and total 24/7 freedom.

From the biomechanically perfect equipment selection to the intentional layout and lighting, this space was built to make you feel inspired the second you walk through the door. This is a welcoming home, no matter where you are starting from, or what time of night you need to train.

I poured my life into this place, and I’m incredibly grateful you’re here to be a part of it.
